Hi, I'm GorillaPINK.
The current server's minecraft version is 1.8.8 which is pretty outdated comparing to the latest 1.11.2 and 1.12 in a few months. I'm rather confused about the decision of choosing 1.8.8 instead of 1.11. Was it because the server is promoting PVP? Will the current server become a PVP server in the future? If not, is it really worth it to sacrifice all the new features and blocks just to preserve the redundant *click click click* PVP system? All the new stuffs contributes a lot to better builds for the server.
I personally, a former builder would prefer changing it back to the latest 1.11 version and so are my friends in the Vanguardians faction. I believe the builders in Apex would appreciate as well.
I'm suggesting this now just so that it's still easier to make big changes for example updating plug-ins and stuffs. Do take some time to think about it.
Thank you.
Regards,
GorillaPINK

I'm not an active pvp'er so I can't provide comment for that par. For survival however, I personally do feel the most up to date version is better in a builders sense. I like automation and the new stuff like observers can cut down a lot of blocks / Redstone. Plus the new blocks / gear / enchants that we don't currently have.
At this time, it's really up to the staff if they wanna stay or change, as you have mentioned above, it's now still possible to change and adapt but we may wanna hear other players and the staff's opinions first.
